Alondras Park Apartments, Costa del Silencio, Tenerife

A holiday at the Alondras Park Apartments promises fun in the sun without breaking the bank. Set in the quiet resort of Costa del Silencio, there is no (sandy) beach nearby but there are three swimming pools on site, one of which is for children. The on site restaurant has been refurbished in Feb 2009 and is proving popular. From the complex it’s easy to get to Los Cristianos or Playa de las Americas so this is a good base if you want a balance of relaxation and activities.

One of the impressive things with the Alondras Park complex is the generous living space in the apartments. Families really appreciate the two bedroom apartments on offer here (approx 75 square metres), and we also offer one bedroom apartments which are equally spacious (at 55 square metres) compared to some other aparthotels . Both sizes exclude the terrace/balcony.

To get around you could use the regular bus service, hire a car, or take organised excursions. If you take a car hire from Tenerife airport you can be at the Alondras park in less than 15 minutes. Los Cristianos / Playa de las Americas are also just around 10 to 15 minutes drive from Costa del Silencio. If you are happy to stay in the resort you may be interested to know that the surrounding area is fairly flat and the resort contains shops, bars and restaurants geared towards holiday-makers.

Nestling in lush tropical gardens on the south Tenerife Palia Don Pedro Hotel is a basic hotel for people looking for “just” a holiday in the sun. The Palia Don Pedro hotel is in a residential area in Costa del Silencio. The nearest beach is at Las Galletas where you can find a lovely harbour area and a rocky cove.

Most suited to couples who don’t need a beach and are happy to relax at the pool area in the Tenerife sunshine or use the hotel as a base for exploring the varied island of Tenerife. Car hire from the airport would be a good choice for the fifteen km journey to the hotel and then use it for trips around the island. There is some organised entertainment at the Don Pedro which includes archery. The hotel caters for all nationalities so depending on when you go it’s a bit of a lottery whether you will be staying amongst mostly British, French, Germans, Polish or Swedes.

Marino Tenerife, Costa del Silencio

Marino Tenerife Hotel is located in Costa del Silencio – near the sea, though not near to a beach. Los Cristianos and Playa de las Americas are both within easy reach (approx 10 KM) and the airport transfer from TFS to the Marino Tenerife Hotel is only about 20 minutes (15KM).

The studios and one bedroomed apartments at the Marino Tenerife hotel are very well equipped but the hotel decor is admittedly a little behind the times. Breakfast or half board is available to prebook by paying a supplement.

The Marino hotel is most popular with guests who appreciate the freedom of having self catering facilitites (as well as the on site mini market) combined with good hotel services such as the inviting swimming pool, 24 hour reception, and daily cleaning service.
