Parque Santiago III apartments & IV, Arona.

A great location in Arona – between Playa de las Americas and Los Cristianos - means all the developed attractions of Tenerife are within easy reach but not in your face. This is a very well maintained complex right on the ocean front with superb swimming pools and other on site facilities. Highly recommended for British families and couples alike. There is a very high loyalty to the Parque Santiago 3 and 4, so despite the large number of apartments it does get fully booked so booking the Apartments Parque Santiago as early as possible is the way to go. An alternative to the Parque Santiago complex is the excellent Granada Park Apartments.

Best Tenerife Hotel in Playa de las Americas (formerly named Tenerife Princess Hotel) is in a great location in the resort and close to Las Vistas beach. The centrepiece of the hotel is the impressive pool complete with waterfall and surrounded by lush gardens. The pool is heated which makes it a popular choice year round.

Columbus Aparthotel is a large accommodation in a central location in Playa de Las Americas.

Best suited to young singles and couples who will appreciate the excellent location close to the Playa de Las Americas beach and the famous nightlife.

When booking the Aparthotel Columbus there is a full choice of food options from self catering all the way up to the all inclusive option. All Inclusive is booking really well at the Columbus, probably due to the strength of the Euro. The food served gets good customer feedback as it is varied and plentiful but the drinks service doesn’t have good feedback which to be honest is fairly common in European all inclusive hotels unless you are staying at a top hotel.

Granada Park Apartments, Playa de las Americas

Granada Park Apartments enjoy a relaxed setting in a quiet residential area named Golf Las Americas, between Los Cristianos and Playa de las Americas. You can walk to either Los Cristanios or Playa de las Americas if you are feeling fit (gradual slope) or a taxi can be had (taxi rank outside the Granada Park Apartments reception) for in the region of €5 (2009). The apartments at the Granada Park Apartments are well equipped but as is typical in Tenerife there is no kettle. The kitchens are genuinely good enough to do “proper” cooking as they have a 4 ring hob plus oven, also a large fridge with freezer compartment, microwave. There is a small and friendly mini-market on site. You can book to include breakfast at the Granada Park apartments or even half board, but with so many good restaurants in the area you might prefer the motto : “variety is the spice of life!”

The Granada Park Apartments are modern (e.g. wi-fi is available) and well furnished. The complex feature 2 main swimming pools (1 heated through winter) plus a kids pool which all look lovely lit up at night. There is nice pool furniture consisting of sun loungers (with cushions) and umbrellas.  With friendly service and plenty to do, in a great location, Granada Park Apartments are cheap hotels in tenerife candidates for best self catering apartments in Tenerife.
